Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has informed the press and of course Bastian that he would be of no use to him at Manchester United this season.
Speaking about the German midfielder, Mourinho expressed his surprise over the fact that Schweinsteiger wants to stay at Manchester and sit out his contract.
The Germany international has two years to run on a reported £190,000-a-week ($251,000, 222,200 euros) contract, but has been frozen out by United‘s new manager.
Speaking on whether he might get a chance to play this season, Mourinho said;
“I have Paul Pogba, Ander Herrera, Morgan Schneiderlin, Marouane Fellaini and Michael Carrick. That‘s five players for two positions. It‘s difficult that a chance will arise.”
The Man Utd gaffer also went ahead to say that he would rather give a chance to academy players than allow Bastian Schweinsteiger play in any game for Man Utd.
