PDP’s Emeka Ihedioha Wins Imo State Governorship Election

Emeka IhediohaCandidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Emeka Ihedioha has been declared winner of the 2019 gubernatorial elections in the state.

Ihedioha polled 273,404 votes to defeat 69 other candidates including his closest rival, Uche Nwosu of Action Alliance who scored 190,364 votes.

Breakdown of Result:

Total registered voters:  2,221,008

Accredited voters: 823,743

Total votes cast: 714,35

Rejected votes: 25,130

Total valid votes: 739,485

Emeka Ihedioha (PDP) – 273,404

Uche Nwosu (AA) – 190,364

Senator Ifeanyi Ararume (PGA) – 114,676

Hope Uzodinma (APC) – 96,458

Ikedi Ohakim (AP) – 6,864
